The search is on to find Tyneside’s most inspirational women.
The Glass Slipper Awards, which was officially launched at the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead last week, will recognise outstanding women from the North East.
The Chronicle’s Sunshine Fund, the event organiser, is now calling on you to nominate the women who should be celebrated at our glittering awards ceremony on Friday February 27 at the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead.
From women making a difference in the community to high-achievers in the world of business, we want to hear about them.
The awards categories include: Best Newcomer, Life Time Achievement, North East Champion, Women of the Year, Young Achiever, Outstanding Businesswomen and Women in the Community.
The event is sponsored by Gordon Brown Law Firm and Hilton Newcastle Gateshead.
Caroll Pattison, director of the Sunshine Fund, said: “It was a pleasure to launch our 2015 Glass Slipper Awards in such a fabulous setting as the Hilton Hotel last Thursday.
“Thank you to everyone who attended, previous award winners, mothers of children we have supported, our supporters, new supporters and of course our sponsors, Gordon Brown, Hilton Hotel, Helen McArdle Care, Intu Metrocentre and ncjMedia.
“As the awards are now open, I look forward to receiving a variety of nominations for all seven categories all celebrating local ladies.”
