Hi folks, with less than three weeks to Christmas I hope your preparations and parties are all going well.
I would like to start this week by saying a huge thank you to Keeley Grey for organising a children’s Christmas party where they raised an astonishing £1,326.
We supplied Keeley’s special little boy four-year-old Alfie with an iPad to help with his communication when he started school earlier this year.
Ellie Donaldson deserves a special mention as she not only helped organise the event she also obtained lots of prizes for the raffle.
She is a very giving and motivated young girl who wanted to give back to the charity which is lovely – well done, Ellie.
We will make sure this helps more children with disabilities in the North East.
I really enjoyed doing a bag pack at Sainsbury’s in Monkseaton on Saturday with the China Trek bag packers.
Thank you to Sainsbury’s and their customers who gave generously we raised another £361 for the kids.
We have a lot of Christmas activities this weekend to look out for from our Santa Bike Ride on Friday, our Zumbathon and NUCAS Cobalt Boot Camp festive fun day fundraiser on Saturday plus a visit to As You Like It Santa’s Grotto with some of our kids on Sunday.
Enjoy your Christmas festivities,
Caroll
