Silly Selfies

02 Jun Silly Selfies

What’s the silliest face you can make?

Some of the celebrities in our gallery of gurners weren’t even trying – but their efforts can inspire you to find the perfect expression for our charity #sillyselfies pictures.

We’d love to feature your fun photos as part of the Sunshine Fund’s Go Bananas effort to raise £25,000 to help disabled children in the North East.

Can you grimace like Gordon Ramsay, make a window face like Barbara Windsor, wiggle your lips like Les D

awson or go cross-eyed like Henry Cooper?

We scoured the archives for funny faces to inspire your #sillyselfies.

Do send a picture of what you really look like too!

If you took part in the no-make-up selfies, then you know how this works. Share your #sillyselfies with friends, nominate them to join in and, most important of all, make a donation to the Sunshine Fund.

You can text GBSF47 followed £1, £2, £3, £5 or £10 to 70070 to donate to the appeal and there are a few ways to submit your #sillyselfies.

Email before-and-after photos to yourpictures@chroniclelive.co.uk along with your name, post them on our Newcastle Chronicle Facebook page, or tweet us @eveningchron using the hashtag #sillyselfies

We’ve kicked off with some daft faces in the office – we don’t always look like this, honest! – so we can guarantee the pursuit of super #sillyselfies will cause much hilarity and some surprising results.

Sunshine Fund director Caroll Pattison said: “I hope everyone has great fun taking their sillyselfies whilst raising lots of money for the kids we support for our Go Bananas Campaign this June.” All kinds of events are planned to raise the cash, which is used to buy equipment for children with disabilities, but you can get the ball rolling and start a new craze by simply snapping yourself today.

Under 16s will need the permission of their parents to participate – even better if parents send in the pix of their youngsters.

We’d like to thank you in advance for taking part, and Caroll added: “We’d also like to give huge thanks to our sponsor Irwin Mitchell Solicitors.”
