11 Mar iPad help for lad thanks to local firm
The fundraising efforts of staff at Cellular Solutions have enabled the Sunshine Fund to buy Jayden, who is two, an iPad to help with his communication skills.
The Washington youngster has a genetic condition which means he struggles with a number of health issues, but it’s hoped the iPad will go a long way to improving his life both at home with his family and at nursery.
Staff from Cellular Solutions paid a visit to meet the toddlers’ family and to see Jayden getting to grips with the equipment.
Niki Halliday, retention manager, said: “It was an absolute pleasure to meet Jayden and his family and see first-hand the fantastic work that the Sunshine Fund do. Cellular Solutions are honoured to support the charity and help to change the lives of children with disabilities.”
Clare Savory, events manager for the Sunshine Fund, added: “It was fantastic to see Jayden with his iPad. This equipment will benefit his communication with his family and at nursery.
“A huge thanks to Cellular Solutions for supporting the charity. Without companies like Cellular Solutions we would be unable to support so many children with disabilities in the North East.”
