HI folks, I can¹t believe it¹s a week since I spoke to you last, how time flies by while having fundraising fun!

Every month I host our Sunshine Ladies networking group when we share lunch, ideas and business whilst having a laugh.

This month our speaker Sandra Tang told us about NE1 and their Fashion week, which looks like a super event to be held in May, flying the flag for Newcastle.

I am so proud of my home town ! I updated the ladies on our ŒGo Bananas¹ appeal in June.

Tyne Tees Models who were present then decided to enter a team of six into our Sunshine Run, the bribery is they all get an afternoon off work plus lunch on the boss nice one Lesley !

Marta Vine is hosting a couple of Portugese Wine tasting sessions at As You Like It for us.

Plus Cleaners for Causes are driving around with a banana on their vans!

This is a lovely group of hard-working local ladies who like to see the difference their support makes many thanks to you all.

I took one of our Sunshine Families to As You Like It on Sunday as we were invited to their fab kids¹ club. Jack who has autism and ADHD met ŒCaptain Jack¹ who made him a balloon sword whilst little Jack showed us all the cars he likes on his new laptop which was kindly fundraised for by As You Like It customers and staff.

Jack is a very special boy who told me all about his wireless mouse for his computer, it¹s very clever but way too technical for me I told him! Whilst the children had their faces painted I caught up with Jack¹s mum who told me he loves his laptop for playing games and she even gets him to do his homework on it. Many thanks to As You Like it for being tremendous supporters of ours a good time was had by all as you can see in this picture.

The Body Shop in Eldon Square celebrated its first birthday this week by going bananas in store and raising over £400 for us. The customers joined in banana-eating competitions and raffles, everyone was wearing yellow the store looked fab, many thanks for your continued support.

The office is buzzing this week thinking of jokes to promote our Comedy Night at the Stand on Monday, April 22 I¹m glad we have professional comedians on the night as we are pretty poor! The Stand is a great place so if you are looking for a laugh come and join us.

Have a good week, best wishes, Caroll
