Introducing the Evening Chronicle Sunshine Fund Glass Slipper Awards:
The first Glass Slipper Awards will be held in February 2013 at the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead. The event, attracting a predominately female audience from the corporate world of law,
accountancy, banks, telesales and recruitment agencies will celebrate the achievements of women. We intend it to evolve into an annual event that is unique in the north east business
calendar; not just another awards ceremony or luncheon but a truly inspirational event that really is something very special.

There will be five award categories to be judged by a committee made up from five high profile inspirational ladies from the region. We have commitment from:
- Angela Upex - Deputy Editor at the Evening Chronicle;
- Sandra Jobling - Coastal Productions;
- Karen Carr - Marketing Manager at the Metrocentre; and,
- Lynn Waterman - Director of Sales at the Hilton (and supporting sponsor).

The awards will recognise Newcomer, Customer Service, Collaboration of the Year, Success of the Year and Lifetime Achievement award. One
award will be voted by the local community via The Evening Chronicle. We feel this will inevitably promote the Awards and both the sponsor
and charity profile.
