18 Dec Jumper day for charity a firm success

A CHRISTMAS Jumper Day in aid of The Chronicle Sunshine Fund raised £1,000 thanks to 30 North East companies taking part.

Employees each paid £2 to wear festive knitwear to work on Friday, and in doing so supported the charity’s aim of raising £40,000 in December to help disabled youngsters living in the region.

“It is great that all money being raised from the day will go towards supporting children with disabilities within our region.

“We have more than 200 people within our Newcastle office and everyone got into the festive spirit last Friday and wore their Christmas jumpers – some a little more ‘decorative’ than others!”
